2008 Cold Case First Degree Murder reopened, Attorney Scott Reiter argues lack of DNA
March 3, 2016
Update at 11:30 a.m.: Scott Reiter, Erik Jackson’s attorney, argued in court Thursday morning that there is no DNA evidence that links his client to the murder of Irma Simeus. He said the only reason Jackson was even named is because he’s in a heated custody battle with the mother of his child, who spoke with investigators in 2014. After the hearing, Reiter spoke with the media and said that his case will be to prove that woman who pointed to Jackson manufactured the entire story in order to get full custody of their child.
